A meeting of the Bolton Agricultural Commission was held on Tuesday, 15 April 2008 at Town Hall. It was called
to order at 7:40 pm. In attendance were: Held and Kovacs.
As a result of a lack of quorum, no official business was conducted.
Two items were discussed for future consideration by the commission:
• Participation if the 4th of July celebration in the town. Both Rob and Joe felt this would be a good idea.
Bolton Celebrates, the organization has approached Sue to discuss it with the Commission. It was felt
that either an entry in the parade and/or a booth on Memorial Field afterwards would be a good idea. Joe
indicated that he could provide a “petting zoo” as one option.
• The MDAR Marketing Grant has not officially been awarded. It was discussed that as part of the Bolton
AgComm submission a town survey was to be conducted this year and next year to gauge increased
awareness as a result of the activities in the grant. Both Rob and Joe felt it would be a good idea to move
forward with the survey should Bolton receive the grant notification at a point where it would be too late to
react.
The meeting ended at approximately 8:25 pm.
